Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented European Road Freight Coordinator to join their team in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing road freight operations across Europe, from initial customer inquiries to the successful completion of shipments. You will be integral to the growth of the business by providing exceptional customer service and developing new opportunities while maintaining operational excellence.
European Road Freight Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer quotations and inquiries quickly and efficiently, ensuring all customer needs are met in a timely manner.
- Maintain and regularly update the suppliers' contact list to ensure efficient communication across the department.
- Provide an exceptional level of service to all customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or requests as required.
- Invoice and accurately cost shipment files in a timely manner, ensuring proper billing for all freight services.
- Monitor and manage service expectations for both existing and key accounts, ensuring smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to company operational procedures and follow best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Manage the freight business from inception through to completion, ensuring all aspects of shipments are handled efficiently.
- Select appropriate carrier/service providers to maximize profitability while delivering high levels of service.
- Manage your time effectively to maximize efficiency for both yourself and the business.
- Carry out any other duties as deemed necessary by the company to support team objectives.
- Actively seek, develop, and secure new opportunities from existing business to drive growth and increase customer base.
- Achieve profit growth through effective commercial management of both new and existing accounts.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in road freight logistics or transport coordination is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of European road freight processes and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.
