An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Secretary/PA to join an Employment Law and HR Business based in Cheadle Hulme. You will be supporting the Managing Director and the team by providing an efficient and effective administrative service across all aspects of the operation. Along with a salary of up to £28,000 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including enhanced holiday, a day off for your birthday, company sick pay, life cover (5x salary) and a tastecard! As Secretary/PA, some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Word processing - auto numbering, document preparation, setting of templates essential
  • Overseeing the day-to-day functions concerning the office
  • Dealing with telephone and email enquiries
  • Creating and maintaining filing systems
  • Scheduling and attending meetings, creating agendas and taking minutes
  • Organising travel for staff
  • Using a variety of software packages, such as Leap, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and to maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases
  • Working successfully with the company’s CRM system
  • Devising and maintaining office systems and processes
  • Booking rooms and conference facilities
  • Using content management systems to maintain and update websites and set up and maintain internal databases
  • Liaising and negotiating with external suppliers
  • Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment
  • Organising and sending outgoing post
  • Photocopying and printing various documents, sometimes on behalf of others
  • Arranging in-house and external events
  • Maintaining management information systems (manual or computerised)
We’re looking for a Secretary/PA with:
  • PA/office management experience in professional/legal services is essential
  • An understanding of legal terminology
  • Experience in audio and copy typing essential
  • Highly organised and proactive
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication
