- Overseeing the day-to-day functions concerning the office
- Dealing with telephone and email enquiries
- Creating and maintaining filing systems
- Scheduling and attending meetings, creating agendas and taking minutes
- Organising travel for staff
- Using a variety of software packages, such as Leap, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and to maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases
- Working successfully with the company’s CRM system
- Devising and maintaining office systems and processes
- Booking rooms and conference facilities
- Using content management systems to maintain and update websites and set up and maintain internal databases
- Liaising and negotiating with external suppliers
- Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment
- Organising and sending outgoing post
- Photocopying and printing various documents, sometimes on behalf of others
- Arranging in-house and external events
- Maintaining management information systems (manual or computerised)
- PA/office management experience in professional/legal services is essential
- An understanding of legal terminology
- Experience in audio and copy typing essential
