A leading manufacturing company in Cheddar is looking to appoint a new Production Supervisor as a part of their continued growth strategy.
Your new role
As the Production Supervisor, you will be reporting to the Production Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Site General Manager. As a business, they work a traditional 40hours working week, operating from 8am-5pm daily. The business has been experiencing significant growth for several months, so they have also introduced an overtime allowance of 1.5x and 2x pay depending upon the time of work. You will be expected to manage a team of up to 20 shop floor machinists, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the correct specifications and delivered to OTIF KPI standards. You will be included in the Continuous Improvement / OpEx strategy for the business by leading projects and focusing on minimising waste.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for this Production Supervisor vacancy, you must have a proven track record of working as a Shift Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader role within a machine shop company. Ideally, you will have worked with products being supplied to the Aerospace sector, but the experience of working with machined products being supplied to the Automotive, Heavy Engineering or the Defence sector will also be considered favourably.
What you'll get in return
As the Production Supervisor, you'll be paid an annual salary of up to 35,000, which is dependent upon your experience. In addition to this, you will be able to conduct overtime, which is paid at 1.5x and 2x salary, depending upon the time at which you complete the overtime. Furthermore, you'll join the site bonus scheme, and professional development investment.
