Audit & Accounts Semi-SeniorChelmsford, EssexSalary: £30,000 - £38,000 DOEOur client, a well-established and respected accountancy practice based in Chelmsford, is seeking an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing team. The role involves a mix of audit and accounts work, providing exposure to a variety of clients across different sectors.Key Responsibilities:- Assisting in the planning and execution of audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, including preparation of audit documentation and reports.- Preparation of year-end financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.- Working with senior auditors to complete audits efficiently and within deadlines.- Preparation of accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.- Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships, acting as a point of contact for day-to-day queries.- Managing your own workload, ensuring that assignments are completed to a high standard and on time.- Identifying areas for improvements in audit processes and suggesting ideas to improve efficiency.Requirements:- Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice.- Strong knowledge of audit processes and accounting principles.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.- Proficient in using accountancy software and Microsoft Office applications.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Personal Attributes:- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.- Eager to learn and develop professionally, with a desire to progress within the firm.- Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively under pressure.Benefits:- Competitive salary package.- Study support towards ACA/ACCA qualification.- Excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.- Friendly and collaborative working environment with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.If you are looking for a new challenge and are keen to work for a reputable firm with great career prospects, we would love to hear from you.
