We are seeking a Management Accountant to play a crucial role within our client’s finance department. This position is key to analysing financial information and implementing strategies to enhance business performance. The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing, developing, and applying findings from financial reports, maintaining financial policies, and ensuring effective communication channels are in place to keep management informed about the company’s financial status.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Analyse financial information to support business profitability and growth.
  • Provide accurate management reporting to aid in key decision-making processes.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end journals, statutory and management accounts.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Manage capital expenditure and produce financial statements, including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and management.
  • Review and improve accounting processes and practices for efficient financial operations.
  • Oversee cash flow and produce forecasts.
  • Review company assets and liabilities and prepare monthly reconciliations for all accounts.
  • Assess monthly expenses and handle VAT calculations, presentation, and payments.
  • Provide commercial analysis, such as margins and pricing.
