Finance Manager
  • Location: Brentwood
  • Job Type: Part-time (3 days a week, 24 hours)
  • Salary: between £35,000 and £45,000 pro rata. 

Join our dedicated charity based in Brentwood, committed to making a positive impact in our community. We are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations and contribute to our mission.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and manage budgets, particularly for grants, to ensure proper allocation and utilisation of funds.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts in compliance with financial regulations.
  • Oversee and manage the charity's overall budget, ensuring financial stability and accountability.
  • Utilise strong Excel skills for detailed financial analysis and reporting, enhancing decision-making processes.
  • Manage financial transactions and bookkeeping through Xero, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and financial operations.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex financial analyses.
  • Experienced in using Xero for accounting and financial management. (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a charity or non-profit is highly advantageous. (Desirable)
  • Formal qualifications in finance or accounting are not mandatory but beneficial.
