Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a new opportunity? Our client is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and cash processing, ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with the set company monthly timescales. Your main responsibilities will include:
- NL coding, validation, and obtaining approval of supplier invoices.
- Inputting supplier invoices into the system in a timely manner.
- Matching supplier statements against accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
- Monitoring and actioning the accounts email inbox.
- Preparing and processing the weekly supplier payment run.
- Managing company credit card statements and reconciling them with receipts.
- Assisting with month-end processing, including completing journals and reconciliations.
- Providing support to the Finance & HR Manager with company administration tasks.
In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Finance & HR Manager and contribute to the efficient operation of the department. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with accounts payable processes, cash handling, and month-end procedures. Proficiency in using Sage 200 is preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently are also important for this role.
