An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and proactive Administrator to join a supportive and dynamic team at an independent school. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day administration of the school, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, families, and staff, ensuring the smooth running of the school's front office and reception area.Salary to £25K, on site role every day.Please note this is an entry level position.Sponsorship is not available for this role.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day reception duties, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
  • Maintain accurate pupil data and assist with financial transaction records.
  • Organise and distribute letters, newsletters, and progress reports to families.
  • Oversee the safe and secure handling of pupil medication.
  • Process incoming and outgoing post, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Support the leadership team with diary management and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Interact professionally with pupils, especially those with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, maintaining a calm and supportive approach.
Person Specification:
  • Excellent communication skills with children, families, and staff.
  • A recent Graduate
  • Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally within an educational environment.
Qualifications:
  • A degree (preferably 2:1 or above) is desirable, but not essential.
  • A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above.
  • Experience in a similar administrative or secretarial role, ideally in a school setting.
