Civil/Senior Engineer (Highways/Drainage) - Chelmsford (Permanent)
Are you an experienced Highways and Drainage Engineer looking for your next challenge? We're working with a well-established infrastructure consultancy seeking a Civil or Senior Engineer to join their growing team in Chelmsford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, energy, education, and healthcare sectors. Key Responsibilities:
Produce high-quality technical drawings and designs in line with industry standards.
Lead design decisions and present reasoned solutions to senior management and external stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership in key areas of highways and drainage design.
Manage project resources and adapt plans to meet client deadlines.
Check and approve drawings and calculations prepared by colleagues.
Stay up to date with changes in legislation, design codes, and best practices.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in the design of roads and drainage across multiple sectors.
Strong understanding of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategy Reports, and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
Confident in leading projects and challenging design solutions when necessary.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Full UK driving licence required.
