Commercial Manager - Freelance (Outside IR35)

On-site delivering a new build Power station in Essex over the 12 - 18 months

Location: Thurrock, Essex
Salary: 500 - 550 (Outside IR35) per day

Site-based, minimum of 3 days a week, ideally 4 days due to the programme but there is flexibility to work from home as the programme requires.

Role Description:
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with an M&E contractor who has been awarded the installation of a new Power station based in Essex. At present we are mobilising a team to deliver the programme over the next 12 - 18 months, hence looking for a temporary/freelance contractor to support the delivery of the scheme.

Your duties will vary depending on the programme of works but could include:

Work closely with the operational team and work with relevant pre-construction teams to maximise opportunities and profitability in the delivery phase of projects.
Ensure that Take-Offs of all Construction Drawings to record and manage any changes on an ongoing basis throughout the project cycle are being carried out by Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor.
Prepare in-house monthly commercial reports and ensure complete control over all commercial aspects of the project.
Approval and management of sub-contractors' accounts throughout the project.
Monitor and analyse project delivery status with project leadership teams.
Mentor all personnel under your direction to enhance their capability and performance.

Experience & Qualifications:

Degree (Equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development, award, administration and close-out relating to a multi-discipline construction project.
Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
Full UK Driving Licence
