HR Administrator
OA are recruiting for an HR Administrator to join our client’s highly successful and growing team.
The role will be responsible for assisting with administration, such as data entry, filing, answering the telephone, keeping policies and procedures up to date once instructed and maintaining up to date employee information.
The role requires the individual to be trustworthy, organised, to have strong administration skills and the passion to learn.
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Hours: Â Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, fully office-based. Hybrid working available after successfully completing a six-month probation period.Â
Salary: £25,000
HR Administrator - Benefits:

HR Administrator - Key Responsibilities:
- Handle Group HR admin, including resources, procedures, benefits, and legislation.
- Update the staff handbook.
- Communicate with management on HR admin matters.
- Manage employee queries, directing them to line managers.
- Administer the cycle-to-work scheme.
- Request and organise employee references.
- Draft offer letters and employment contracts
- Ensure new starter documents are returned and verified, including right-to-work checks.
- Maintain up-to-date personnel files and HR records.
- Keep a yearly register of HR duties.
- Raise IT tickets for staff-related changes.
- Update and file job specifications.
- Track sickness/absence in HR systems, providing summaries as needed.
- Oversee probation reviews and communicate with management.
- Assist with senior staff DBS checks.
- Manage the company’s TV Licence scheme.
- Assist with quarterly reports for the CEO.
- File and maintain annual appraisals.
HRÂ Administrator - Skills and Experience
- Human Resources qualification or Human Resources experience for at least 12 months desired.
- High standard of integrity & organisational skills with an ability to work to deadlines and on your own.
- The ability to form and sustain relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Encourage respect for individuals and teamwork.
- Ability to construct written communications that are effective and meet business needs and have successful track record in the integration and functionality of these.
