Sea Freight Sales Specialist

We are pleased to be working with our innovative and globally successful client based in Chelmsford with the recruitment of a Sea Freight Specialist seeking their next challenge to join their growing team.

This is a Hybrid role which will include on site, home working and client visits

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly work environment - for a rapidly growing business!

Location: Chelmsford

Hours: Monday - Friday8:30- 5:30pm

Salary: depending on experience

Type: Permanent

Hybrid working

Benefits: Base salary plus commission, along with excellent career advancement opportunities. The specific package will be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain business relationships with SME freight forwarding companies and shippers.

Understand and interpret customers' import and export needs, providing personalised logistics solutions.

Work closely with the team to develop and implement sales strategies and business objectives.

Maintain regular contact with potential and existing customers, provide excellent customer service, and resolve any issues promptly.

Participate in company marketing activities to enhance our reputation and influence within the industry.

Qualifications:

Related shipping sales experience with a robust network within the industry.

Proficient knowledge of shipping route distribution, particularly routes like Far East-Europe, Europe-Far East, intra-Europe, and Europe-Americas.

Significant experience with container import and export.

Candidates with major retail business resources, or shipping lines and freight forwarder sales working experience will be given preference.

Team player, able to work under pressure and achieve sales targets.

Familiar with TMS systems, great MS Office suite skill.
