Are you an experienced supply chain professional with strong vendor management skills? Cooper Lomaz are working with a leading technology company based in Chelmsford that is looking for a Vendor Scheduler to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support production operations.

As a Vendor Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, expediting materials, and working closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. You will collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain activities with production needs, proactively resolving any issues that may impact delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Place and manage purchase orders in line with ERP system recommendations.
  • Monitor open purchase orders, ensuring materials arrive on time and escalating potential delays.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with order requirements.
  • Work closely with procurement and logistics to align incoming materials with production schedules.
  • Review and maintain accurate replenishment data, including lead times and ordering methods.
  • Assist in resolving delivery discrepancies and invoice/payment issues.

Must haves:

  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise across all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to vendor management.
