We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Autism) to join our secondary schools in Chelmsford, starting immediately. As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our children with complex Autism, supporting their daily learning, care, and development. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with autism. As a Teaching Assistant (Autism), you will provide essential support to students, helping them navigate their educational journey and develop vital life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with autism on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to enhance student learning.
- Help pupils learn key life skills in communication, social interaction, emotional/sensory regulation, and self-care.
