Principal Software Compliance and Verification Engineer | Chelmsford | Space / Satellite / Imaging

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Software Compliance and Verification Engineer to join their team in Chelmsford.

Your role will here will be varied, ensuring compliance and the highest of standards are maintained across a range of systems for space applications. Including FGPA and embedded systems designed with high reliability for critical space missions.

Role/Responsibilities:
  • Drive the creation of embedded software and FPGA development
  • Oversee verification and release processes in line with ECSS standards and requirements
  • Ensure correct processes are followed throughout the life cycle of the product
  • Ensure that all documentation, software and FPGA code meets standards and compliance requirements
  • Carry out reviews of processes including source code reviews
  • Generate test plans and procedures
  • Deliver testing and verification of FPGA and software development

Experience Required:
  • Experience working to high reliability coding standards (eg. MISRA)
  • Knowledge of Space, Aerospace, or Defence development standards
  • Experience of ensuring compliance across the software development life cycle
  • Experience verifying high reliability software
  • Ability to develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Experience with version control and issue tracking software (eg. Git / Jira)
  • Experience programming in C, and with embedded bare-metal
  • Experience developing automated test scrips (ideally with Python)
