We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Data Team on a two-year fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and improving our internal Management System, enhancing data management practices, and increasing our capability to record and process accurate and valuable data.Key Responsibilities
- Process Analysis and Improvement:Map current procedures, suggest improvements, develop functionality, test new systems, and measure the success of new processes.
- Data Management:Create and maintain a Data Map of all data fields held and processed within the Main Office and Area Offices.
- System Development:Prioritise and manage the pipeline of Development Work Packages with third-party developers and oversee the implementation of new database functionality.
- Training and Support:Develop and deliver training to staff, ensuring smooth handovers and measuring the success of new processes and tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Engage with senior managers and stakeholders to deliver on agreed plans and coordinate the workstack of third-party software developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education:Degree level in a related subject or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Experience:Substantial experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with experience in transforming or digitalising processes.
- Skills:Highly numerate, logical, methodical, and familiar with presenting complex data clearly. Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- IT Literacy:Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and business process mapping tools.
Preferred Experience
- Awareness of external data sources and public organisational processes.
- Experience with GIS and ArcGIS software.

Terms and Conditions
- Contract: Fixed term of two years, with potential for extension subject to review.
- Probation Period: 6 months.
- Notice Period: 1 week during probation, 1 month after probation, increasing with service length.
