Join a rapidly growing bespoke machinery manufacturer in Chelmsford as a Mechanical / Multi-Skilled Assembler. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled individuals who excel in precision assembly work and are looking for a stable, long-term role.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assemble complex soldering machines which involve electrically driven mechanical movements, pneumatic actuators, and electronic control sub-systems.
  • Perform precision assembly work using engineering drawings, process specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Utilise hand and power tools effectively, engage in setting and shimming, and perform manual machining operations.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure assemblies meet quality standards.
  • Work as part of a team while also having the capability to operate with minimal supervision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven competence in precision assembly work.
  • Experience using hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process specifications.
  • Formal training in mechanical skills, preferably within an apprenticeship, coupled with a qualification to at least NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly desirable.
