Join a rapidly growing bespoke machinery manufacturer in Chelmsford as a Mechanical / Multi-Skilled Assembler. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled individuals who excel in precision assembly work and are looking for a stable, long-term role.

Day-to-day of the role:

Assemble complex soldering machines which involve electrically driven mechanical movements, pneumatic actuators, and electronic control sub-systems.
Perform precision assembly work using engineering drawings, process specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Utilise hand and power tools effectively, engage in setting and shimming, and perform manual machining operations.
Use precision measuring instruments to ensure assemblies meet quality standards.
Work as part of a team while also having the capability to operate with minimal supervision.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven competence in precision assembly work.
Experience using hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process specifications.
Formal training in mechanical skills, preferably within an apprenticeship, coupled with a qualification to at least NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds.
Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly desirable.
