JMC Aviation are working with a surface treatment company based in Chelmsford, looking to recruit a new Paint Sprayer to join their team.


This client offers a range of surface treatments and non destructive testing, creating aerospace components using CNC Machines to fabricate sheet metal. This family run company provide an outstanding customer service and helping their employees progress within their roles.


This is a Permanent Position based in Chelmsford.
Working Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:00 and Friday 07:00 - 12:00.

The Role

The Paint Sprayer will be responsible for preparing and painting a variety of jobs for various customers, in the Paint Shop Department.

Other duties involve:

  • Must be able to work on their own initiative and be a team player within the paint shop
  • Ensure completion of daily Paint Logs by the end of shift each day
  • Ensure relevant processes on job packs are fully stamped up in line with the Quality Department instruction (QDI)
  • Ability to work to a high standard in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met


In order to be successful in this role the Paint Sprayer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience gained in an Aerospace paint shop background preferred but not essential as onsite training will be provided
  • Proven experience in interpreting and understanding job pack data and specifications worked to
  • A recognised apprenticeship/college course would be preferred but consideration will be given to the right applicant based on prior experience
  • Right to Work in the UK already obtained
