Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified rural surveyor to work alongside the existing Savills management team delivering estate management and professional consultancy services to our clients across Essex and Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work with a team based in Chelmsford, but we are flexible as to location. Our work is diverse and our surveyors are working in changing rural land markets with dynamic and forward thinking clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesWorking within a team managing rural land and property including estates, and statutory authority rural property assets. Professional consultancy work including compulsory purchase and general negotiation of property rights. Working with clients on areas of Landlord and Tenant work on agricultural property including rent reviews. Assisting the development of the professional business through networking internally and externally. An interest in identifying and developing new business opportunities. To help promote and deliver the firms compliance procedures and standards. To support team members in career development via training, coaching and mentoring and the promotion of talent processes.  

Key SkillsMember of the RICS. Competent and skilled with Microsoft office, including excel. A capacity to analyse and present statistical information. Clear written and verbal communication style. Full driving licence and own car essential.

Team Overview A highly motivated successful team of five including three qualified surveyors who deal with a mixture of farm agency, management and professional work and two estate administrators dealing with property management and administration. The Chelmsford office, centrally based in the City, is diverse and employs 35 people across residential, development, new homes, commercial, and minerals discipline. This role is office based, however we do consider some flexibility towards working from home.Find out more about Savills offer
