Corporate & Commercial Solicitor - Successful Legal Practice - Chelmsford, Essex / Hybrid - Competitive Salary

We are on the hunt for an ambitious Commercial Solicitor, ideally with 4 years+ PQE, to join a highly reputable legal practice as a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor.

The Solicitor will be dealing with both new and existing clients, offering expert, commercially minded legal advice and ensuring that top-class services are consistently provided.

With sound knowledge of corporate and commercial matters, you will proactively advise clients on a wide range of matters.

Key responsibilities as the Corporate & Commercial Solicitor will include:

  • Dealing with matters on behalf of clients on a wide range of matters including M&As, corporate deals, shareholder agreements, management buy-ins/outs, restructuring, financing etc.
  • Building and maintaining strong relations with referrers and clients
  • Working on a varied caseload
  • Leading the growth of the commercial department
  • Ensuring clients have the confidence to instruct the firm to solve their problems
  • Undertaking business development activities to help grow the business

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Commercial Solicitor / Legal Executive (ideally 4 years+ PQE)
  • Sound knowledge of corporate and commercial law
  • Experienced in M&As, corporate deals, shareholder agreements, management buy-ins/outs, restructuring, financing and general commercial work
  • Experience managing varied caseloads
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to fully understand the needs of business clients
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Driven to provide the highest level of client service at all times
  • Focused and hard working attitude
  • Proactive nature
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • IT literate
