Junior Lawyer – Compliance & Legal AdvisoryOffice Based - Chelmsford£50kAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Lawyer to join the compliance function within an established international business. Reporting to the General Counsel for Digital Imaging (Europe, EMEA, and APAC), this role offers exposure to a broad range of legal matters, making it an ideal next step for a legally trained professional with commercial experience.Key Responsibilities:Compliance & Risk Management
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs, including ethics and data privacy initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with business operations.
Corporate Governance
  • Maintain corporate records and regulatory filings.
  • Support the preparation of board resolutions and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
Legal Advisory
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice on regulatory compliance and general corporate matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memos, policies, and guidelines.
Dispute Resolution
  • Assist in managing disputes and litigation, liaising with external counsel when required.
  • Help resolve internal and external legal matters efficiently.
Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Support due diligence processes for potential acquisitions.
  • Assist with the integration of newly acquired businesses.
Contract Review & Negotiation
  • Review and advise on NDAs and other commercial agreements.
Training & Education
  • Contribute to internal training sessions on key legal topics such as data protection, intellectual property, and contract management.
Requirements:
  • Legal experience (ideally 1 year minimum)
  • Experience reviewing commercial contracts
  • Strong commercial awareness
