Private Client Solicitor - Successful Legal Practice - Chelmsford, Essex / Hybrid - Competitive Salary

We’re on the hunt for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor with 2 years+ PQE or Fee Earner with equivalent experience, to join a highly reputable legal practice in their busy Private Client team.

The Private Client Solicitor / Fee Earner will be given a high level of autonomy and responsibility from the outset, assisting the Head of Department. You will be dealing with both new and existing clients, offering expert, commercially minded legal advice and ensuring that top-class services are consistently provided.

With sound knowledge of private client law, you will proactively advise clients on a wide range of matters.

Key responsibilities as the Private Client Solicitor / Fee Earner will include:

  • Dealing with private client matters including drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, dealing with estate administration, trusts and taxation and Court of Protection cases
  • Building and maintaining strong relations with referrers and clients
  • Working on varied caseloads
  • Leading the growth of the commercial department
  • Ensuring clients have the confidence to instruct the firm to solve their problems
  • Undertaking business development activities to help grow the business

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in private client law (ideally 2 years+ PQE)
  • Sound knowledge of relevant UK laws, processes and procedures
  • Experience in managing private client matters
  • Experience managing varied caseloads
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to fully understand the needs of clients
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Driven to provide the highest level of client service at all times
  • Focused and hard working attitude
  • Proactive nature
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • IT literate
