Trade Mark Attorney is required to join our busy and well-respected client in their Chelmsford office working as part of their Intellectual Property Team. You will be a chartered Trade Mark Attorney who enjoys new challenges as you may become involved in design work, domain name disputes and other types of work beyond the core work of a trade mark attorney. A passion for the work is a must, and a degree of intellectual suppleness will be hugely helpful, as our clients' work is complex and highly international, so can be quite demanding.

The Role

  • Trade mark drafting, filing, prosecuting, oppositions and cancellations
  • Advising stakeholders on IP strategy as well as the drafting of key agreements
  • Assisting with queries from the wider legal team and business
  • You will be involved with all aspects of managing the departments portfolio
  • Filing, prosecuting, oppositions and cancellations
  • Advising stakeholders at all levels on IP strategy development

The Person

  • Must be a chartered trademark attorney with the ambition and commercial acumen to assist in driving the new IP department forward.
  • You will be passionate about delivering succinct, high-quality advice with excellent client and team communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will also have an eye for detail, work with high levels of accuracy
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure, prioritising effectively.
  • The ideal candidate must be flexible enough to work outside normal office hours when required
  • Preferably have own vehicle as well as a clean driving licence.
