Job Title: Production Engineer - Electronics
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Collaborate with manufacturing and supply teams to resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Fault Investigation: Investigate, document, and address faults in customer-owned products, implementing improvement plans.
  • Manufacturing Development: Assist in creating balanced, flexible production lines, improve manufacturing costs, and write SOPs and risk assessments.
  • Process Control: Manage manufacturing changes from concept to production and introduce new parts and tools into production.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Ensure DFM/DFA standards for new and existing designs, managing NPI deliverables with project teams.
  • Safety & Compliance: Serve as a subject matter expert in safety for components and test processes, fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Sales Support: Provide technical data for customer and project bids.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electronics manufacturing and testing.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical/electronic assembly, DFM/DFA principles, problem-solving (8D, A3), and SPC data.
  • Technical: Fault-finding at the component level; familiarity with electrical, RF, high-voltage electronics, and encapsulation processes.
  • Security: Must be eligible for SC clearance.
