Job Description
As a Production Engineer within the RF division, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the successful production of high-quality RF products. Your expertise will drive efficiency, optimize processes, and guarantee products meet stringent quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to deliver exceptional RF products to customers in Medical, Marine, Industrial and Defence markets.Â
Main Accountabilities:
- Process Optimisation:Â Identify areas for process improvement within the RF product manufacturing cycle which includes mechanical assembly, various joining techniques of multiple materials, electrical and RF testing. Analyse production workflows, implement efficiency enhancements, and reduce waste to increase overall productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Take ownership of maintaining and improving quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Monitor production outputs, perform root cause analyses for defects, and implement corrective actions to ensure products meet or exceed established quality benchmarks.
- Manufacturing Support & Problem Solving: Provide technical support to the manufacturing team, ensuring smooth production runs. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to root cause promptly to minimize product losses.
- Documentation Skills: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and quality control protocols. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are available for reference
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking out opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase product reliability
Desired Experience / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or similar. Alternatively, HNC and 3-5years experience.
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in process optimisation, root cause analysis, and quality control methodologies. Such as 8D, 6 Sigma.
