 Exciting Opportunity: Band 8a Locum Pharmacist - Hybrid working - Oncology - Essex (Starting ASAP)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join a dynamic team in an NHS run hospital service in Essex. The role is offered at Band 8a level and is available for an immediate start.

Key Details:

  • Location: Essex (Hybrid working option available). Will need to work at least 2 days on site, to work 2 days remotely etc.
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Length: Initially month-to-month (with a 6-month gap in mind)
  • Working Hours: 8:45 AM – 9:15 PM (with flexibility on shifts; 8 AM – 4 PM also possible)
  • Part-time options available, though full-time remote working is not an option.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for oncology prescription screening and will work closely with a large team of pharmacists. The role involves reviewing oncology prescriptions, providing clinical advice, and ensuring the safe and effective use of chemotherapy treatments.

Requirements:

  • Experience in oncology pharmacy is essential.
  • Prior experience using ChemoCare is preferred, though experience with ARIA is also acceptable.
  • SACT trained as experience screening oncology is required here
