About the Role:
As an English teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a love for literature, language, and critical thinking among students. You will deliver engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons.
- Support students in achieving their academic targets, including GCSE and A-Level success.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive and motivational feedback.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular programs and events.
About You:
- The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for English and the ability to inspire students of all abilities. You should possess:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level, with a strong record of student achievement.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver creative, impactful lessons.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate effectively.
- A commitment to professional development and collaborative working.
