Blueprint Recruitment is searching for a talented Senior Planner to join a leading consultancy on a long-term contract basis. Located in either Essex or Manchester, this opportunity is part of a major aviation project, where the Senior Planner will play a crucial role in shaping project timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery in line with strategic goals. If successful, you will be required to operate on a hybrid basis, attending the site 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with the planning cycle.
- Identify schedule impacts and proactively implement solutions within baseline quality, cost, and time constraints.
- Analyse internal and external deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
- Lead live progress update sessions to track and report project progress.
- Produce timely management reports, including milestone slippage analysis, resource trends, and schedule risk assessments.
- Use Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to monitor project performance.
- Undertake schedule variance analysis and provide exception reports where required.
Requirements
- Degree qualified with experience in project planning and controls.
- Strong understanding of project management principles in complex environments.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
- Experience using an Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
- Ability to prioritise deadlines and manage reporting cycles efficiently.
- Previous contractor experience is preferred but not essential.
- Security clearance for airports is required.
