Logistics Administrator

Chelmsford, Essex

£14.50 per hour

6 month temporary position (you must be available to start immediately)

Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm) Full Time in Office

Our client, located near the Chelmsford area, is on the search for an experienced Logisitics Administrator to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract.

In this role, you will be reviewing Sales Orders and pre-booking shipments, liaising with the Customer Service & Planning Team

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Transport Costs spreadsheet.
  • Updating Daily Warehouse Loading Schedule
  • Creating Inventory Picks
  • Obtain carriage quotes for Supply Chain & Commercial Team
  • KPI Reporting
  • Answering customer queries on Export Procedures
  • Maintaining, improving and monitoring supplier performance
  • Monitoring and implementing robust countermeasures for 3rd party logistics concerns
  • Maintain and improve shipping costs for export and UK special consignments

Background and Skill:

  • Previous experience within a Logistics role.
  • Excellent IT Skills (including excel)
  • Good Time Management
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Export Paperwork and Procedures
