Trainee Technician

Our global client are currently seeking a trainee technician to join their accounting team here in Cheltenham. This is an ideal role for someone at the start of their career or someone looking to retrain in a new career change.

The role will work within a busy Financial services environment where you will be offered a supportive training programme – this is usually achieved through a fully supportive 18 -24 programme.

The company offer opportunities for people with the right skills, behaviours and attitude to build their career and achieve their aspirations. 

Day-to-day of the role:

Fully and accurately view, enter, amend, update, and submit data

Create and maintain electronic and paper files

Review and update departmental reports

Review and reconcile unallocated cash

Allocate cash receipts and settlements

Create statements containing balances due

Create payment requisition requests

Required Skills & Qualifications:

As this role offers a defined career pathways for professional development the ideal candidate will have:

  • Commitment to studying and achieving the Cert CII
  • GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 5 or above (or equivalent). 
  • Ability to analyse and identify key information. 
  • Ability to problem solve using knowledge of policies and procedures. 
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Decision making /Problem solving skills. 
  • Able to work under guidance rather than close supervision.
