We are proud to be partnering with a highly reputable local authority based in Gloucestershire, who are looking to appoint a Senior Surveyor on a 6-month temporary contract.

This will be a full-time position based in Cheltenham, with hybrid working availableand an offering an hourly rate of £35.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company. (Please still get in touch if you are looking for a higher rate)

The ideal candidate will have access to the Cheltenham area, and have extensive experience of EWI contracts, or similar contracts in the field of construction.

Please see below a list of the required duties:

  • Project managing two contracts for a Social Housing provider; EWI project, initially on 40 properties, rising to 80 long terms, and a fire door replacement schemes
  • Delivering and administering the contracts (all contractor procurement has already been completed!)
  • Chairing weekly and monthly meetings with contractors and stakeholders, and reporting on performance and progress
  • Creating financial reports on the projects
  • Overseeing contractor Health and Safety on site
  • Ensuring contractors are meeting pre-agreed SLAs and costings, and scrutinizing changes in cost
  • There is no direct line management for this role, but there will be a lot of communication with a Clerk of Works and RLO

Experience required:

  • Experience dealing with EWI/ CWI or related retrofit projects
  • Experience working with contractors

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to manage the work of contractors
  • Ability to scrutinise the work of contractors and present findings to stakeholders

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm (Flexibility as required)
