Job Role – Senior Project Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Senior Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and progressing assigned project activities. The Senior Project Engineer shall work as part of an integrated project team and be responsible for leading and coordinating the progression of a variety of tasks, including the planning, implementation, coordination and monitoring of project activities, to ensure deliverable requirements.
Duties – Senior Project Engineer
• Leading, coordinating, and monitoring assigned hardware projects to ensure the contracted deliverables are accurately established, effectively planned and implemented.
• Working closely with the Mechanical and Electrical design Engineers on all aspects of hardware product design development activities.
• Supervising engineering process compliancy and best practice across all projects.
• Engaging and generating bid support (technical solutions with cost and effort estimates), requirements capture and definition, planning and resourcing, implementation and monitoring, documenting and recording, verification and planning activities.
• Keeping the Engineering Manager routinely aware of all aspects of project progress and of major developments affecting performance of the project.
Experience/Qualifications – Senior Project Engineer
• Relevant engineering qualification.
• Proven experience in the control of projects from contract award through to delivery and acceptance in a technical design and manufacturing environment.
Candidates who are currently a Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Engineering Manager could be suitable for this role.
