Our client, a leading independent hearing care team, who provide a complete hearing care service to their patients across various clinics in the Midlands and the South West, are now looking for a professional, motivated Finance Manager to join their happy, successful and friendly team. The role is full time and based in the heart of Cheltenham.

Purpose of the Role

You will provide a confidential and compliant finance function for the company and its directors, while remaining compliant with FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) regulation and compliance. You will also consult with our external accountants and be responsible for one member of the team, this being the Finance Assistant.

There will be a need to consult with internal and external stakeholders and therefore strong customer service and communication skills are vital for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Update the HR system Breathe HR employee records with sickness absence for the purpose of managing payroll.
  • Full management of the company’s financial activities and responsibilities
  • Calculate partial exemption and submission of VAT Returns
  • Working alongside the operations manager to produce clinic budget forecasts
  • Preparation of monthly management information to include variances against forecast
  • Oversee payroll process
  • Breathe -inputs sickness records, finalises holiday allowance, adds salary updates/salary increases & work patterns - daily.
  • Booking hotels - all staff pay and monitor expenditure.
  • Prepare year end pack for accountants for all entities (currently 4)
  • FCA- compliance - annually complete regulatory forms for the company compliance and for the loan facility
  • Complete Valuation forms for each branch for HMRC
