Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading and growing Technology company based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit a dynamic and driven Management Accountant/Finance Manager. A newly created role due to organisational growth reporting directly to the Financial Director, assisting with the supervision of a small and close-knit finance team. The position can offer future progression/development as the business grows further. A full-time role, but part-time hours, might be considered for the right candidate. Open to part-qualified/newly-qualified Accountants or qualified by experience finance professionals.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring all transactions and month-end accruals/prepayments are accurate. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, reporting on revenue, work in progress, supervision, and oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. You will be involved in cash flow forecasting, treasury/banking processes, budgeting/forecasting process, monthly reporting, variance analysis and more. You will support the Financial Director with providing financial insight to identify risks/opportunities, commercial analysis, margin/pricing analysis and in ad-hoc projects/duties to support business growth. The position will be tailored around the right candidate with growth/development opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this permanent Management Accountant/Finance Manager role, you will need experience in a similar position, ideally part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience with strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships at all levels. You will be able to manage workloads to meet deadlines, experienced in financial systems with strong MS Excel skills. You will have strong problem-solving skills, be willing to learn and adapt to business needs, along with a proactive and hands-on working approach. Experience in Sage financial systems and experience within a small/medium-sized business would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This hands-on Management Accountant/Finance Manager role offers a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Full-time, however four days per week, a pro rata salary could be considered for the right candidate.
