Are you an experienced finance professional looking for an exciting opportunity in a fast-growing, ambitious business? Hays are partnering exclusively with a Cheltenham-based technology company with a turnover of £33m, and they are looking for a Group Finance Manager to join our dynamic team.

The Role:

As the Group Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial performance of the business, with a strong emphasis on commercial focus and strategic input. You'll be instrumental in guiding the business through its next phase of growth, balancing both high-level financial oversight and hands-on involvement in monthly financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the group's financial activities, providing strategic insights and commercial direction.
  • Utilise PowerBI driving strong data analysis
  • Take ownership of the month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial reporting.
  • Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to support decision-making.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support the leadership team in commercial opportunities and business planning.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support M&A activity, contributing to financial due diligence and integration.

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in a fast-paced, growth-focused business.
  • Hands-on experience with financial processes, including month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic industry.
  • Prior experience in the technology sector is advantageous, but not essential.
