About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected not for profit organisation dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of children and adults across Gloucestershire. They are seeking a Head of Finance with a strong sense of social purpose to lead their financial operations and support the organisation’s mission.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership, ensuring the financial resilience of the organisation, and supporting the CEO in achieving strategic goals. As part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will contribute to the development and delivery of organisational strategies, drive financial transparency, and ensure that financial control systems are robust and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial operations of the organisation, aligning financial strategies with the overall mission and goals.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in establishing and maintaining annual budgets and financial objectives.
  • Develop and maintain best practice financial standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal obligations as a Registered Provider of Social Housing and a Registered Charity.
  • Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and reporting to safeguard the organisation's financial health.
  • Support the Finance & Risk Committee, ensuring effective governance and completion of action items
