A highly reputable independent financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team. This is an office based role in Cheltenham. The role will be client facing and will offer longer term progression into an IFA role for the right candidate.

The role

You will assist the Financial Advisers in preparing recommendations and producing suitability reports in line with company policy, including preparing and maintaining client records.

  • Deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication.
  • Collect and collate information and data about (and from) the client in accordance with the principles of 'know your client’ and company policy and ensure all the required compliance documentation is present and correct.
  • Liaise with product providers and other third parties to acquire additional information that may be required to assess the client’s needs and to formulate recommendations.
  • Obtain information, quotes, illustrations and product details, and provide comparisons for analysis.
  • Prepare suitability letters and reports for approval by the Financial Adviser in line with company policy.

Requirements

Understanding of the Financial Planning process

  • 3+ years Paraplanning experience and a Level 4 qualification in financial planning (CII/CISI/LIBF).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal - articulate, detailed and accurate.
  • Experience in writing complex and detailed reports for cases
