CY Resourcing is excited to partner with a reputable accountancy firm in Cheltenham, seeking a Digital Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee your own workload, maintaining effective communication and providing assistance as needed.
  • Calculate and manage client payroll, including salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Address payroll inquiries and swiftly resolve discrepancies while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Execute payment runs accurately and on time using various banking systems.
  • Reconcile balance sheet items with supporting schedules to ensure clients receive up-to-date and precise data.
  • Utilise digital software for daily bookkeeping tasks.
  • Prepare financial statements for review, providing insights into financial status.
  • Complete statutory returns, including VAT returns and others as required.
  • Regularly report to the accounts and client manager to support the compliance team’s smooth operation.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to deliver high-quality services to all clients.

Requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proven experience in payroll management and processing payment runs.
  • Familiarity with CIS returns is a plus.
  • Experience in management accounts and an understanding of current business trends.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting statements.
  • Proficient in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software, preferably Xero and Dext.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical tasks.
  • Excellent quantitative skills and a strong
  • affinity for numbers.
