Key Activities

  • Support the manufacturing cell with technical/engineering queries to ensure production output targets are achieved.
  • Use of FRACAS tools to monitor test performance of all nominated products in the manufacturing cell
  • Run product health analysis on high priority products, understand root cause and drive changes where appropriate. Identify process improvement and cost out opportunities in support of the product through production.
  • Lead root cause corrective action investigations on units which have failed in production, or customer returns with zero flight hours. Diagnosis of failures to component level are required. Ensure any trends are captured and analysed to drive product improvements. Provide feedback for the customer within agreed timescales.
  • Assessment and disposition of non-conformances.
  • Support the introduction of new products into volume production, ensuring that the product and processes are ready.
  • Ensuring compliance with mandatory regulations, standards and company processes

Essential Responsibilities

Able to diagnose electronics to component level, and lead root cause corrective actions investigations. Able to carry out detailed data analysis, and provide solutions to mitigate future recurring production issues.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Qualified to HNC or above in an electronic discipline or equivalent relevant level of experience and knowledge
  • Experience in developing and executing process improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder requirements at once
  • Experience in implementing root cause corrective action
  • Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative, to proactively manage projects / tasks
  • Demonstrated fault diagnostic skills to component level
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * Ability to work independently
