REED Cheltenham is supporting a leading property management company in Cheltenham who are seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Commercial and Legal Team.

This role is pivotal in supporting the team's operations, focusing primarily on Commercial Contracts and Property Licences/Leases, with opportunities to engage in other legal areas. This position offers a dynamic and challenging environment, ideal for developing your legal expertise and gaining valuable hands-on experience.

This position is full time and permanent and paying up to £30,000 dependent on skills and experience.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist in the review, drafting, and management of legal documentation, including commercial contracts and leases.
  • Ensure the proper execution of legal documents and manage the legal documentation process.
  • Conduct detailed legal research to support decision-making and legal matters, ensuring all data is accurate and relevant.
  • Perform comprehensive Land Registry searches and conduct thorough due diligence checks to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to foster a supportive and innovative work environment.
  • Engage professionally with clients and stakeholders to gather information, provide updates, and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of team processes and procedures.
  • Handle general administrative tasks efficiently, including scheduling meetings, managing diaries, and maintaining confidentiality in all communications.

What You Will Bring

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Paralegal role within a legal environment.
  • A Law degree, GDL, or other relevant legal qualifications.
  • A strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to multitask, organise, and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • The capacity to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • A strong motivation to learn and progress within the legal field.
