Linsco are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a new build housing company on a project in Cheltenham. T This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a dynamic residential project, overseeing cost control, procurement, and commercial management.

Day Rate Negotiable

My client are looking to conduct interviews over the coming week.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all cost and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Oversee procurement and subcontractor management, negotiating contracts and ensuring best value.
  • Prepare and manage valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Conduct cost reporting and forecasting, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Ensure projects remain within budget and financial targets.
  • Work closely with site teams, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Monitor risk and value management, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and industry regulations.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in new build housing and apartment projects.
  • Excellent negotiation and financial management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple project elements.
  • Proficiency in cost reporting software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
