Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Associate QS
Location: Cheltenham office, South-West projects
Contract: Permanent
Summary:
The Senior/ Associate Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing expert quantity surveying services to clients, including cost estimating, tendering, and contract administration. This position requires a strong understanding of construction methods and materials, as well as experience in high quality projects, there will also be the requirement for Project management within the role.
Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including the cost of materials, labour, and equipment

Review and analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify potential cost risks

Manage the tendering process, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids

Negotiate and award contracts with subcontractors

Administer contracts, including monitoring project costs, issuing payment certificates, and resolving disputes

Provide expert advice to clients on all aspects of quantity surveying

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
Qualifications/ Experience:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Preferably hold MRICS, or be on the RICS pathway.

5+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably with experience working for a consultancy but we are open to contractor backgrounds.

Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.

Experience in managing tendering and contract administration processes.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
