Description

  • Produce timely and accurate legal bills.
  • Liaise with PAs to prepare pre-bills within strict SLA timelines.
  • Attend billing meetings with partners and revenue controllers.
  • Respond promptly to billing-related queries.
  • Finalise and dispatch bills to partners and PAs.
  • Escalate issues and seek authorisations as per Billing Policy.
  • Raise credit notes in accordance with the firm's policy.
  • Write off irrecoverable WIP and disbursements.
  • Maintain client and matter data, including rates, discounts, and time adjustments.
  • Support the wider Revenue Team with ad-hoc requests

Profile

  • Experience working in a finance team, ideally with exposure to billing, VAT, and disbursements.
  • Law firm or professional services experience is a plus, but not essential.
  • Good level of numeracy with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proactive and responsive to billing-related queries and issues.
  • Familiarity with billing software (e.g., Aderant) is advantageous.
