The Opportunity

This is a brand-new exciting opportunity, in which the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving Polo Works' operational effectiveness. You will be responsible for the efficient allocation and management of the organisation's resources, including personnel, budgets, and materials, to maximize efficiency and productivity business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Allocate resources optimally across operational areas and projects, ensuring the right mix of skills and personnel are available when needed. This includes forecasting future resource needs based on project pipelines and operational demands.
  • Work closely with the People Team to identify the skills and competencies required by the organisation. This will include involvement within recruitment, development, and retention strategies to ensure the organisation has access to the required talent.
  • Monitor the capacity of resources and plan for future workload changes. This includes managing timesheets and tracking resource utilisation.
  • Serve as a liaison between department heads, project teams and senior management, providing updates on resource availability and potential issues.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to resource allocation, such as overallocation, burnout, or skill mismatches.:
  • Continuously look for ways to improve resource management processes, including the implementation of new tools or systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Support the management of resource budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources to deliver within forecasted or allocated budgets.
Experience & Skills
  • Previous experience in resource management, project management, or a related field is essential.
  • Insurance industry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to analyse resource data, forecast needs, and plan accordingly.
  • Proficiency with resource management tools and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills communicating with team members and presenting reports to management.
  • The ability to quickly identify issues and develop solutions to ensure services and projects remain on track and within budget.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills are essential for managing multiple projects and resources simultaneously.
