A rapidly expanding organisation is seeking a Supply Chain Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Staverton, Cheltenham, with a salary of £68,000.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the PMO and Supply Chain teams to oversee the transition of new licenses and the transfer of product lines to and from the business.

Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in supply chain or procurement, having held roles as a project manager or in other related positions that demonstrate relevant expertise.

Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Project Manager include:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the PMO and Site Supply Chain team, overseeing supply chain activities for the transition of new licenses into BAU (business as usual).
  • Facilitate effective supplier onboarding by collaborating with the PMO and BAU teams and managing contract negotiations with new suppliers. Lead a team of Buyers to ensure timely placement of Pos that support the transition to BAU.
  • Manage orderbook activities for Original Equipment, Spares, and MRO requirements, ensuring hazard part escalation and achieving clear to build status.
  • Track and escalate Purchase Price Variance (PPV) against agreed parts costs to safeguard the transition business case.
  • Conduct supplier site visits and participate in improvement initiatives to enhance the transition process and ensure compliance with business and regulatory standards.

Person Specification of the Supply Chain Project Manager:

  • Previous experience in purchasing/procurement/supply chain in similar role
  • Experience working within a technical manufacturing environment
  • Confident in dealing with all levels of people in a professional manner
  • Demonstrable experience managing a team
  • Excellent negotiation and organisational skills
  • Commercially minded with an ability to deliver solutions
