**This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity, with a view to transition into a permanent role**

Butler Ross are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist for a manufacturing/aerospace organisation near Gloucester/Cheltenham. The position affords some remote working; up to 2 days a week from home, and is offering an hourly rate of £30-40/hr (Umbrella Company Rate) depending on relevant experience.

Your key responsibilities / objectives will be:

  • Managing a portfolio of Suppliers to ensure requirements are met
  • Supporting the Supplier Performance Quality Leader (SPQL) in the effective implementation of Supplier Performance strategy and initiatives
  • Conducting analysis on under-performing suppliers and implementing specific action plans
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders - to manage both supplier relationships as well as risks and potential issues

Ideal Experience / Skillset

  • Prior experience in the Aerospace sector or any technical manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Strong Decision making & problem-solving skills
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Working understanding of ERP systems (and general IT literacy)
  • A background in dealing with Raw Materials from suppliers, would be advantageous
