People Operations Advisor

Chepstow - 4 days a week (on-site)

Our client, an international research and development organisation engineering new technologies, has a fantastic opportunity for a People Operations Advisor to join their team!

The role:

路 Management and administration of employee lifecycle activities and systems.

路 Support the People Operations Director in management of employee relations cases, serving as advisor to employees, addressing their concerns and questions in a timely and empathetic manner, and investigating and resolving issues or grievances in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.

路 Ensure the employee requests are managed effectively and that all queries are responded to within a timely manner.

路 Maintain and update relevant processes, procedures and policies across the employee lifecycle and ensure effective education and communication to employees.

路 Monitor relevant legislation so that policies and procedures are legally compliant.

路 Work with Talent Acquisition to ensure great recruitment experience for candidates and hiring managers.

路 Coordinate new hire onboarding activities and inductions.

路 Manage HR data via the HRIS, HR Documentation issuing and storage processes, and employee records management.

路 Payroll support: Managing provision of payroll information to the finance team in line with monthly cutoffs.

路 Assisting with benefits enrolment, changes and enquiries.

路 Support with employee engagement, communication and wellbeing activities.

路 Support with Performance Review and Talent & Succession processes.

路 Identify opportunities and implement improvements to processes or systems.

Key skills/ experience:

路 Previous experience of managing administrative HR processes.

路 Professional and approachable manner with an ability to work with discretion.

路 Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail, with experience of using Microsoft office products especially outlook and excel.

路 Previous experience in managing employee relations cases.

路 Experience of accurate and timely management of HR lifecycle activities.

路 Knowledge of UK employment law preferred.

路 A strong working knowledge of HR best practice policies and procedures.

路 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

路 CIPD qualification desirable
