Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Transport Manager to join a leading global food service wholesaler and play a key role in optimising transport operations. Role overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transport operations, optimising delivery routes, and leading a team of drivers to ensure exceptional service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and assisting the operations manager on all transport operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
  • Develop and implement transport strategies to optimise routes and reduce costs.
  • Lead and motivate large teams of drivers ensuring high levels of performance and safety.
  • Managing budgets and controlling expenses related to transportation operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and improve service delivery.
  • Manage relationships with third-party transport providers and negotiate contracts.
  • Ensuring compliance and maintenance of all transport vehicles and equipment.
  • Resolving any transport related issues or challenges that arise.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and time management skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Holds a CPC qualification
  • Preferable experience within the Food Service Delivery industry
  • Engaging, enthusiastic, and proactive.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
