About the Role:
As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially A-level. You will inspire students to develop their physical abilities, understand the importance of health and fitness, and foster a sense of teamwork and sportsmanship. Additionally, you will assess student progress, prepare them for sporting events, and contribute to the school's extracurricular sports activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver fun, varied, and differentiated PE lessons tailored to the needs of all learners.
- Encourage a positive, active classroom environment that promotes student engagement and a passion for physical education.
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
- Promote the values of teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle through physical activity.
- Work closely with colleagues to coordinate school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Contribute to the school's wider community through involvement in sports clubs and school events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in PE.
- Previous experience teaching PE at secondary level is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physical education, health, and fitness principles.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
