We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Newport. This full-time position is perfect for a teacher passionate about Physical Education, committed to promoting health, fitness, and teamwork among students.

About the Role:
As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially A-level. You will inspire students to develop their physical abilities, understand the importance of health and fitness, and foster a sense of teamwork and sportsmanship. Additionally, you will assess student progress, prepare them for sporting events, and contribute to the school's extracurricular sports activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver fun, varied, and differentiated PE lessons tailored to the needs of all learners.
• Encourage a positive, active classroom environment that promotes student engagement and a passion for physical education.
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
• Promote the values of teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle through physical activity.
• Work closely with colleagues to coordinate school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
• Contribute to the school's wider community through involvement in sports clubs and school events.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in PE.
• Previous experience teaching PE at secondary level is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of physical education, health, and fitness principles.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to fostering a positive, active learning environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential in both academic and physical pursuits.
